Description
This striking idol blends the unique iconography of Lord Jagannath from Puri with the classical Vedic imagery of Lord Vishnu. The deity is presented with the characteristic round, large eyes and square head of Jagannath, but set upon a full-bodied, four-armed figure rather than the traditional wooden stump form.
He stands majestically under a seven-headed cobra canopy (Sheshanaga), representing protection and eternity. The figure is adorned in vibrant traditional attire—a bright yellow dhoti and orange stole—while holding iconic attributes including a Gada (mace) and a Chakra (discus). The black finish of the deity contrasts with the gold-toned accents, making it a significant piece for both spiritual worship and cultural home decor.
